Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes in Tamil or Malayalam-language films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil acting debuts. Andrea Jeremiah was born in Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. She has an older sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid enthusiast and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed her 12th board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano when she was just eight. When she was 10, she was in a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first performing and music composition career. In her college she also was a theater artist and performed in stage plays that were put on by The Madras Players. Andrea was the President of Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea's stage career started by appearing in the film of Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. In 2006, she appeared in a new leo advertisement with actor Shiva. She was also the character in Podhigai's serial. She performed throughout India. She performed a very brief performance in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the finale. Gautham Vaisudev menon was able to have her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then asked to have her play in the role of a female character in Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed with Andrea portraying Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, whose husband engages in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer.
